A year after two people went missing from the Wilson area; both families are still searching for answers about what happened.

The last time anyone heard from Molly Miller was when she called a friend to ask for a ride. There was also a 911 hang-up call from her cell phone the night she and Colt Haynes disappeared.

There was a wild police chase through Wilson and rural Love County last year. Police believe Miller and Haynes were passengers in that car allegedly driven by James Conn Nipp. Investigators used cell phone data to track all three phones. That data showed they were all traveling in the same place at the same time.

Tuesday marked one year since Miller and Haynes were last seen. Nipp pleaded guilty to his role in a January chase with Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers. One of the troopers involved in the chase, wrecked out along a dirt road near Nipp’s home.

On the anniversary of Miller and Haynes' disappearance, Nipp was sentenced to three separate 10 year prison terms, it will run concurrently followed by 10 years of probation for that second chase.

Nipp has not been charged in the disappearance of Miller and Haynes, but a private investigator told News 9 last month, a witness came forward, saying they had been given a "9mm semi-automatic pistol" and a "machete" by "a family member of James "Conn" Nipp" both appeared to have dried blood on them, according to that witness.

Nipp heads to trial in August for his role in the police chase, that happened the night Miller and Haynes went missing.
