An Oklahoma City man is facing two felony counts of child endangerment after two children were found in his car during a DUI stop on Saturday.
An Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputy reported seeing a car driving over the speed limit, erratically weaving over the lane lines on the Lake Hefner Parkway, near the Britton Rd. Exit. The deputy pulled the vehicle over and made contact with the driver, identified as 25-year-old Christopher Bailey.
According to the report, Bailey was noticeably intoxicated and there was a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. At this point the deputy noticed two other children in the car, one 15 years old and the other was 6 years old. The deputy also noted that the 6 year old was not properly restrained in the car.
The deputy administered a Breathalyzer test and Bailey's results came back higher than .08. He was then arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for the complaints of Driving Under the Influence, two counts of Felony Child Endangerment, a Child Restraint Violation and speeding. He was released from jail later on Saturday on a $23,000 bond.
