Several people have been sent to hospitals following a fight on a federal inmate bus on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike Monday morning.

Bob Mills SkyNews 9 HD flew over the scene and showed at least two people on stretchers on the side of Interstate 44 near the Newcastle toll booth.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, guards pulled the bus over on Interstate 44 near the Newcastle toll gate at mile marker 97, when inmates began fighting.

Newcastle police, Grady County Sheriff's deputies, and OHP troopers all responded to the scene. After law enforcement officials arrived and took control, they determined that four inmates were injured.

One was transported to an area hospital and all other inmates were transferred to another bus, according to the OHP.

According to OHP, this was a bus carrying up to 50 inmates. But when Bob Mills SkyNews 9 HD showed up at the scene, we could only see a van and two inmates being loaded into an ambulance.

No troopers, federal guards or other law enforcement officers were injured.

Authorities say all inmates are accounted for.
