The Drillers lost to the Corpus Christi Hooks by a final score of 7-2 Sunday night, ironically the same score by which they lost to the Hooks on Saturday night.

Corpus Christi yet again terrorized Tulsa with its speed and displayed why they have recorded the second most steals in all of Double-A ball. The Hooks swiped four bags off the Drillers Sunday night and also hit three triples.

Conversely, Tulsa's defense committed three errors in the contest, which led to three unearned runs.

The Hooks again jumped out to an early lead when they scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning. Carlos Perdomo reached first after Joey Wong botched a ground ball that would have resulted in the second out of the inning. Rene Garcia then hit an RBI double to score Perdomo and give Corpus Christi the first run of the game.

After Tulsa starter Tyler Anderson struck out Telvin Nash for what would have been the third out of the inning, Ruben Sosa and Tony Kemp hit back-to-back triples to put the Hooks up 3-0.

Corpus Christi made it 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth when Sosa singled, stole second and scored on Kemp's ensuing single.

The Drillers offense showed life in the top of the sixth when three straight hits produced two runs. After Delta Cleary Jr. and Christhian Adames hit consecutive one-out singles, Taylor Featherston hit a deep line drive that carried over Hooks center fielder Delino DeShields and resulted in a two-run double.

However, Corpus Christi quickly diffused Tulsa's rally with three runs in the bottom of the sixth. After Rene Garcia led off with a single, Telvin Nash hit his third home run in two nights to put the Hooks back up by four.

Sosa followed Nash's long ball with his second triple of the night on a ball down the right field foul line in the next at-bat and eventually scored on DeShields' ground out to put Corpus Christi up 7-2.

Tulsa's Anderson was charged with his fourth loss of the season. The lefty pitched four innings and gave up seven hits and a walk. Of the four runs scored on Anderson, only one was earned. Despite his strong season, it has been over two months since Anderson last was rewarded with a win, his most recent coming on May 4.

The Hooks held Tulsa to only six hits on the evening. No Driller had more than one hit.

Delta Cleary Jr. was 1-3 with a run scored and a walk in his first start since returning to Tulsa from Colorado Springs. R.J. Seidel also made his first appearance since joining Tulsa from Colorado Springs. Seidel pitched 1.2 innings in relief and gave up the three runs in the sixth inning.

Tulsa will wrap up its six-game road trip when the play the Hooks at Whataburger field Sunday night. RHP Richard Castillo (2-8, 5.11 ERA) will get the nod for the Drillers, while RHP Ruben Alaniz (0-0 6.35 ERA) will start for the Hooks. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
