Authorities are working to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in Spencer, early Thursday morning.

Spencer firefighters responded to the fire at about 1:30 a.m. at a home in the 10000 block of N.E. 36th Street near Westminster Road. They had to call in Oklahoma City fire crews for extra help.

Some neighbors say they were worried that the fire would spread to their homes.

Crews were able to put out the fire. But the house was destroyed.

No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
