14-Year-Old Driver Killed In Haskell County Wreck

Troopers say a 14-year-old girl was emotional and driving too fast for the type of roadway when she lost control of her car Monday morning.<br />

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say a 14-year-old girl was killed Monday morning in Haskell County. The girl's name is being withheld due to her age.

Troopers say the Keota girl was emotional and driving too fast for the type of roadway when she lost control of a 2009 Chevy HHR. It happened at 7:28 a.m. on County Road South 4564 near County Road East 1240.

The Chevy was southbound at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and struck a tree, coming to rest on its top, a collision report states..

The girl was not wearing a seat belt, according to the OHP.
