OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City man was arrested for allegedly trying to pimp out a 15-year-old girl who ran away from home.

According to police, the girl called her mother Tuesday night and told her that the suspect, 29-year-old Kevin Martin, asked to take her out of town to sleep with strangers.

The girl said Martin never forced her to have sex, but he did ask for sexual favors. She told police Martin regularly beat another girl. But that girl denied knowing him.

Martin was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of harboring a runaway, lewd/indecent acts/proposals with a child under 16, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and offering to transport a child for the purpose of prostitution.

Police also found out that Martin had a city warrant for failure to appear in jury court.
