Crews Recover Body Of Texas Man Who Drowned In Lake Texoma

BRYAN COUNTY, Oklahoma -

The body of a Texas man who drowned in Lake Texoma over the weekend was recovered, Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say 20-year-old Cecilio Vamarripa was swimming near the Wallifa Woods area of Lake Texoma around 7 p.m. on Sunday when he became fatigued and went under. Witnesses say he did not resurface.

Vamarripa's body was recovered just before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 100 yards west of the east shoreline, in 7 feet of water.

No other information has been released at this time.
