Tulsa Police arrested a 61-year-old Tulsan for assault with a deadly weapon and public intoxication. Ralph Leon Vest interrupted a party in the 3700 block of South Indianapolis Avenue, according to an arrest report.

"Suspect came out of her apartment, approached a woman at the gathering outside another apartment, and spit on the back of her neck," the arrest report states.

Vest, who police say is a transgender female, was asked to leave and did so but returned later with a large knife.

Vest swung the knife at a group of women, cursing and threatening to kill them, the arresting officer said. After reportedly putting the knife to the face of one of the women, police say Vest left and returned a third time with a different knife and a cane – also using those to threaten the women.

"Suspect was visibly intoxicated and had an alcoholic odor on breath and person," the report states.

Vest is in Tulsa County Jail on a $30,100 bond.
