A wrong way driver responsible for a fatal head-on collision overnight might have been driving under the influence.

It happened on Route 66 near the Kilpatrick Turnpike.

Police say the driver of a pick-up truck was driving east in the westbound lane and hit a car head-on, killing a man inside the car.

The pickup driver is expected to survive and police say he will likely be facing DUI and numerous other charges.

The victim's name has not been released.
