Another round of thunderstorms is expected late this evening into the overnight for parts of Oklahoma.

There is a slight chance storms will develop in the Texas panhandle this evening and advance toward western Oklahoma late. If storms can develop out west, they will potentially be severe with hail and wind the main threats.

The most likely scenario however, will be storms forming in SE Colorado and SW Kansas that will push into Oklahoma overnight. A cluster of storms, some severe, will move to the south and east tonight moving into NW Oklahoma between 8 and 10 p.m.

Storms will be capable of hail up to the size of golf balls and winds to 75 mph.

As the line pushes east it will likely weaken as it approaches central Oklahoma, but severe storms with hail and wind will still be possible. Current forecasted time of arrival for the OKC Metro will be between midnight and 3 a.m.

Storms will quickly move into eastern Oklahoma on Thursday, leaving most of the state with clearing skies and highs in the 80s on Thursday.
