District Attorney David Prater has declined to file charges in the death of Maria Gonzales.
Police responded to a welfare call at 3212 SE 56th on May 4. When officers arrived on scene they found EMSA personnel performing CPR on Gonzales.
Police say Gonalzes was in a physical fight with her boyfriend when she suddenly collapsed. She was taken to the hospital, where she died four days later on May 8.
The Medical Examiner says Gonzales was pregnant and had heart disease which was aggravated by the fight. Earlier this week, the medical examiner ruled Gonzales' death a homicide. However, the D.A. told News 9 Crimetracker Adrianna Iwasinski that there is no evidence that a crime was committed.
Prater said Gonzales was mutually involved in a physical altercation with her boyfriend and it appears exertion led to her death.
