Passenger Critical After Motorcycle Collides With Deer In Pittsburg County

A man and woman were hospitalized after their motorcycle collided with a deer in Pittsburg County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the collision happened at 9 p.m. Tuesday on a county road north of Pittsburg.

Dalton Turney, 47, of Kiowa, was driving the Harley Davidson when it struck the deer. Both he and Kendra Turney, 41, were thrown from the motorcycle. Paramedics transported to them to a Tulsa hospital with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.

Dalton is said to be stable and Kendra is in critical condition, OHP said in its report.

The investigating trooper said neither were wearing a helmet.
