An earthquake struck near the city of Edmond, early Tuesday morning.
The quake weighed in at a 3.0 on the Richter scale and was recorded just after 2 a.m.
The epicenter of the quake was located six miles north, northeast pf Edmond, or about 18 miles north, northeast of the Oklahoma City metro, at a depth of just over three miles.
No damage or injuries have been reported with this earthquake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
