The first 10 rounds of the Major League Baseball Draft took place on Friday and 10 Oklahomans went off the board on the first day of the draft.

Here is a list of the Oklahomans who were taken and this will be updated throughout the weekend:

3rd Round, Pick 76 – Brian Anderson (6-3, 185) second baseman, University of Arkansas (Deer Creek HS, Edmond, Okla.)

4th Round, Pick 125 – Gavin LaValley (6-3, 235) third baseman, Midwest City, Okla. (Carl Albert HS)

5th Round, Pick 149 – Jake Jewell (6-3, 200) right handed pitcher, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (Norman HS)

5th Round, Pick 158 – Julian Merryweather (6-4, 200) right handed pitcher, Oklahoma Baptist University (Berkley, Calif.)

5th Round, Pick 186 – Jose Trevino (5'10, 195) third baseman, Oral Roberts University (Corpus Christi, Texas)

6th Round, Pick 187 – Mac James (6-1, 195) catcher, University of Oklahoma (New Braunfels, Texas)

7th Round, Pick 205 – Brad Wieck (6-9, 240) left handed pitcher, Oklahoma City University (Canyon, Texas)

9th Round, Pick 277 – Chris Pike (6-0, 175) right handed pitcher, Oklahoma City University (Southampton, New York)
