Strong severe storms look likely late this evening into the overnight hours. Storms have already developed in eastern New Mexico and are slowly advancing to the east.

There is a Tornado Watch in effect for the Texas panhandle until 10:00 PM. As storms push into Oklahoma from the west, they will pose a threat of large hail up the size of tennis balls, and damaging winds to 75 mph.

The tornado threat will be low, but not zero. As storms continue to progress to the east, they will likely form into a squall line, and will weaken some as they approach the OKC Metro.

There will still be a threat for large hail and damaging winds as storms march to the east. Just like last night's storms, tonight there will be a lot of lightning and power outages are possible.

Another threat will be flash flooding as storms potentially train over the same areas for some time. Overnight some areas will see 1 to 3 inches of rain. This could fall in short period of time. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for the counties in blue until late Sunday Evening.

Rain and storm chances will be isolated Saturday afternoon, but more heavy rain and possibly severe storms will move in Saturday night into Sunday.
