OKLAHOMA CITY -

Officials said one of two suspects who robbed a City Bites in Oklahoma City has been charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

The robbery occurred around 7 p.m. on May 23 at City Bites, located at 7020 N. Western in Oklahoma City.

According to affidavit, both suspects were armed and wearing gorilla masks when they entered City Bites, put five employees on the floor and took their cell phones and then had the manager open the safe. The affidavit states the suspects got away with three, white bank bags containing cash and rolls of coins.

Police said they spoke with an informant on May 27 who had information pertaining to the City Bites robbery. The informant told police she met a black male named "Kane" or "Co'Kane" the weekend prior to the robbery, and on May 19, she and Kane ate at City Bites. She told police Kane was talking on his phone during the meal with someone she didn't know, and he talked about it being an "easy hit."

Court documents show the woman had a phone conversation with Kane later that week, and he told her they did not have cameras or panic buttons and it was going to be an easy hit. The woman told police the "they," which Kane was referring to, was unknown to her.

The informant told police, on the night of the robbery, she couldn't reach Kane, who was supposed to pick her up from a friend's house. She said when she returned home, she found Kane in his car counting money. When Kane came into her home, she said he asked her for a piggy bank. The woman said she saw Kane unrolling coins and putting them into the piggy bank. The affidavit states the two then went to a Neighborhood Walmart and used a change machine to receive cash for the coins.

According to court documents, Kane later pulled out four cell phones and removed the SIM cards. The woman said Kane dropped one SIM card on the floor, and she picked it up without him seeing. The affidavits states the woman gave police the SIM card, and it was later confirmed to belong to one of the City Bites victims.

Lundon Dion Mitchell, 23, also known as "Kane," was arrested on May 29. According to court documents, Mitchell denied any involvement in the robbery but said he had a gun in his trunk.
