More than 90 Oklahoma veterans are on board an honor flight headed to Washington DC. They will be visiting the World War II Memorial while in DC Wednesday.
The trip almost didn't happen due to the government shutdown last year.
On the plane is Carl, a WWII Veteran, who says he was proud to serve his country under General Patton.

"There will never be another war like World War II, cause everybody and their dog was behind that war. It don't seem anymore quite like that," he said.
Carl plans to see all the monuments he can since he has never been to the US Capitol.
The group is expected to return to Oklahoma City Wednesday night.
