OKLAHOMA CITY -

A local boy scout is taking the fight against hunger into his own hands by helping to provide thousands of meals to hungry children.

He is partnering up with the organization "Stop Hunger Now" to send meals overseas to starving families as his Eagle Scout project.

Each bag of food feeds six people. Packed with nutrients many people in developing countries don't get on a daily basis.

"I'm going to bed every night and I'm full and I think we take that for granted honestly," said Ray Martin, Eagle Scout candidate. "There are kids that are just, they go to bed hungry, they can't get up because they're so hungry."

Ray Martin just finished up his junior year in high school and he's going for Eagle Scout rank. He needed about $4,000 dollars to pay for these "Stop Hunger Now" meals so he turned to the internet to set up a GoFundMe account to raise the money.

The meals will be shipped all over the world and the "Stop Hunger Now" organization will let Ray know exactly where the meals will end up.
