A bases-clearing double by Mike Moustakas in the third inning helped push the Omaha Storm Chasers to a 5-3 win against the Oklahoma City RedHawks Thursday in front of a crowd of 4,890 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Omaha (27-26) took a 3-0 lead in the series, as the RedHawks (29-26) lost for the fourth time in five games.

Moustakas, who went 3-for-4 in the game, doubled to lead off the second inning for the Storm Chasers. After back-to-back strikeouts, Carlos Peguero connected on a RBI single to score Moustakas for a 1-0 Omaha advantage.

Domingo Santana hit a lead-off double and scored on a line-drive single by Gregorio Petit to tie the game 1-1 in the bottom of the frame. The run ended a stretch of 17 consecutive scoreless innings for the RedHawks.

Three straight Storm Chasers reached base with two outs in the third inning, including two on back-to-back walks, loading the bases for Moustakas. His bases-clearing double on a fly ball to right field gave Omaha a 4-1 edge.

RedHawks starting pitcher David Martinez (5-3) allowed four runs on six hits, walked three and struck out five over a season-high 7.0 innings in the loss.

Matt Duffy led off the bottom of the eighth inning with his first Triple-A hit. Ronny Torreyes followed with a single and Austin Wates advanced the runners on a sacrifice fly. A sac fly by L.J. Hoes brought home Duffy to cut the Omaha lead to 4-3.

RedHawks reliever Jason Stoffel issued three consecutive walks in the top of the ninth inning to load the bases with none out for Francisco Pena, who hit a sac fly to push Omaha to a 5-3 lead.

Santana and Petit each recorded two hits for the RedHawks, who fell to 10-13 in Bricktown this season. Oklahoma City dropped the first three games of a series for the first time this season.

Omaha starting pitcher Ryan Verdugo (1-1) held the RedHawks to two runs (one earned) on five hits over 5.2 innings with two strikeouts in the win.

The Storm Chasers have now won eight of their last nine games in Oklahoma City.

The RedHawks conclude their series against Omaha with a 7:05 p.m. game Friday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Fireworks will follow the game.
