An Oklahoma City homeowner took action after a suspect broke into her house while running from police last Friday.

According to police, 36-year-old Antonio Locus took off from his car after an officer pulled him over. While officers were searching for him, a woman flagged them down and said someone had broken into her house in the 1000 block of N.W. 101st Street.

The woman told police she saw a man hiding in her utility room and asked him to leave. But the man refused and told her he was "hiding from people who are trying to kill him."

The woman said she then grabbed her cane and began hitting the man until he ran away from the house.

Officers were able to take Locus into custody. Police said Locus matched the description of the man who broke into the woman's house.
