Tulsa Police are looking for a man who shined a laser pointer at a woman's home and shot at her when she went outside to investigate Thursday night.

The incident happened at a home in the 6300 block of North Denver at about 10:30 p.m.

Officers said the woman saw the laser shining in a back window and went outside. As she stepped out the back door, someone fired five to ten shots at the home. One shot hit the woman in the lower leg.

EMSA took the woman to the hospital. Police say she is expected to be okay.

Police say other family members in the house were not hurt. Officers said witnesses told them the shooter was a man but they didn't provide a good description.

Officers searched the empty lot behind the home but didn't find the man.
