Oklahoma City Fire and Bomb Squad say nothing dangerous in a search for a suspicious device believed to be in a car in southwest Oklahoma City.

Crews were called to investigate a suspicious device reported to be in a vehicle after a traffic stop near SW 29th St. and S. Linn Ave.

According to Oklahoma City Police Capt. Dexter Nelson, the bomb squad was called to the scene as a precaution. Police say the officer who initiated the initial traffic stop found weapons in the car. Those weapons have not been identified.

Police also say the driver told them that there may be an explosive device in the car as well. Just after 8:30 p.m. police cleared the scene after it was determined that nothing dangerous was inside of the car.

Nelson tells News 9 the driver had warrants out for his arrest. Police have not identified the driver at this time.
