Oklahoma City police responded to an injury accident over the weekend. It happened at the N.W. 22nd and Dewey early Sunday morning.

When police arrived on scene they found a Black Tahoe flipped to the side with two people still trapped inside. According to the police report, the driver crashed the car into the trees and a power line pole. Emergency crews worked to remove a male passenger from the backseat and the female driver.

Police identified the driver as Shirlene Nelson, 30. Some eyewitnesses told police they believed the car was going about 80 m.p.h before it crashed.

The male passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Nelson admitted to police that she was driving and didn't have a license. The male passenger told police Nelson was his friend and he was helping her because she didn't have a place to stay.

The 34-year-old passenger said Nelson was driving when she started "freaking out" and became upset then began speeding.

Nelson was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on several charges including driving under the influence of drugs and reckless driving.

Her bond is set at $60,000.
