Valley Brook Child Critical After Being Hit By SUV

VALLEY BROOK, Oklahoma -

A Valley Brook child is in critical condition after being hit by an SUV, Friday evening.

Police received a call just before 7 p.m., that a 9-year-old boy had been run over by an SUV in the 6500 block of S. Cox Ave. in Valley Brook.

The area is located off SE 59th St., just off of Interstate 35.

EMSA was called to the scene and transported the boy to a local hospital in very critical condition. That child's identity has not been released at this time.

Police took the woman who was driving into custody to have her blood drawn as normal procedure. Police say the woman is not related to the child and is not under arrest.
