NORMAN, Oklahoma -

OSBI agents are investigating a body that was discovered at Lake Thunderbird, Saturday morning.

Lake Thunderbird park officials found the body of a female in the Clear Bay area early Saturday morning. Trauma to the body prompted those officials to involve the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities have identified the woman as 28-year-old Jessica Meyer of Norman.  OSBI agents say she was found near the park camp site and that it appears she was a camper.

Homicide detectives are investigating and are blocking off certain streets and other areas of the park. The medical examiner was also called to the scene. An official cause of death has not been determined.

No other information has been released at this time.
