Police: Shots Fired During East Tulsa Road Rage Incident

Tulsa Police say a road rage confrontation between two drivers led to gunshots and a crash late Thursday.

Tulsa Police say a road rage confrontation between two drivers led to gunshots and a crash late Thursday.

Officers said a man had stopped his pickup at a red light on 31st Street at Highway 169 at about 11:30 p.m. when a car pulled up next to him.

According to police, the drivers exchanged words and got out of their vehicles. When the driver of the car pulled out a handgun so the pickup driver peppered sprayed him. The driver of the car then fired three shots at the pickup then got back into his car and sped off.

Police say the pickup driver got back into his truck and made a U-turn as he tried to get away, hitting an SUV headed west on 31st Street. Officers said neither driver was injured.

Tulsa Police have not found the driver who fired the handgun. They haven't released a detailed description of the man who fired the shots or his car.

The also don't know what led to the verbal confrontation that started the whole thing.
