A thief makes his way through businesses at a metro shopping center, but not how you may think.

The burglar got creative to get away with cash and electronics, and the crook didn't set off a single alarm.

According to business owners, the suspect made the first entry through a window of a vacant suite late Sunday night. From there, it gets interesting.

"They knew where our motion sensors were, where our cameras were," said Samara Terrill, owner of New Life Nutrition. "They knew how to get around them."

Terrill says she walked into her nutrition store on May and Memorial Monday morning to find three large man-sized holes in her walls.

"It's a little scary. It very well could have been just a random person who came in, or maybe someone who just stopped in and seen what the store was," said Terrill.

But according to police, the thief started two suites over from Samara's. Footprints could be followed all the way to the first hole. The thief went through four business suites at the shopping center by first breaking through the glass of a vacant suite outside. From there, that crook kicked a hole through the sheet rock, and headed over to Samara's business.

"He came in and he stole money, small electronics, and a little bit of product," said Terrill.

"There were drawers that had been pulled out. They had kind of rifled through the drawers," said Tara Starr, owner of Starr Home.

Starr's business is just two doors down. She has surveillance cameras that surround the inside.

"They unplugged the video cameras so there was no footage or surveillance of anything," said Starr.

Those cameras were unplugged around 11:15 p.m. Sunday. The thief left Tara's business empty handed and headed out through her back wall.

"That's a lot of work to bust through the wall to try to get some cash," said Starr.

Oklahoma City police were able to recover finger and palm prints from a refrigerator, along with DNA. You're asked to call police if you have any information.
