There is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for western and south western Oklahoma until 10 p.m.

Storms are expected to develop between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. ahead of the dryline, and will advance to the north and east.

If they can hold together, T-storms will be moving into the OKC Metro between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Storms will be capable of large damaging hail up to the size of tennis balls, wind gusts to 70 mph.

There will be and a low threat for isolated tornadoes this evening, but that threat will decrease into the overnight hours.

Overnight another round of showers and storms are expected to form in far western Oklahoma and move to the east. These storms will pose mainly a wind and hail threat. Localized heavy rain is expected with some areas picking up .5" to 1" of rain maybe more.

Thursday's severe weather setup is largely dependent on tonight's storms. If we get enough sunshine tomorrow, we could be looking at another threat for severe storms in the afternoon hours.
