OKLAHOMA CITY -- We will be warm and windy today from sunrise to sunset. At sunrise, we were already in the upper 60s and 70s with a southerly wind 15mph.

As we go through the day, it will be another hot one, upper 90s in the central regions and western Oklahoma will again see temperatures over 100 degrees.

Sunny skies and southerly winds 20-30mph will keep us in the EXTREME wild fire danger the entire day. The western half of Oklahoma is under a RED FLAG WARNING, so no outside burning, and please be very careful with cigarettes as well.

Later today, we may see a stray thunderstorm or two move into the state. Primary threats for those storms will be hail and gusty winds and if we are lucky, a little rain. Tonight, a 20 percent chance for a thunderstorm with an overnight low of 69 degrees.

Wednesday and Thursday will have better rain chances for a wide region of the state in form of thunderstorms and showers. We will report more on this later.
