The Owasso Police Department located two missing elementary students Wednesday afternoon.

Police said Emry Wooten and Tawny Hudgins, both 10 years old, were reported missing from Northeast Elementary in Owasso at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police found the girls about a mile and a half from the school just after 3 p.m.

Police say that no one witnessed the fourth graders leave, but their library books were discovered outside the building.

The school was placed on external lockdown after an initial search of the school. Police say they immediately searched the surrounding area, and used tracking dogs and air assistance.

Police say they received several tips from witnesses that led to the girls being found and returned to the school.

We spoke with three 10-year-old girls who said they heard their classmates were kidnapped.

A news release said "there are no indicators of an abduction or any criminal activity at this time - the girls were located safe and sound by search crews."
