A Jenks couple was arrested after an elementary student told a school nurse she was being touched inappropriately, according to Jenks Police.

Kenneth Russell Otis and Tiffany Liana King are in the Tulsa County Jail in connection to the incident.

Tulsa Police say the little girl told the nurse that Otis touched her inappropriately then her told her to keep it a secret. Officers went to the couple's home and spoke to King, 33.

When questioned, King reportedly told police she knew Otis had touched the child about six months ago and that he promised he would never do it again. She said they handled the problem within the family and did not report the crimes that had taken place, according to the arresting officer.

An arrest report states Otis, 28, was brought to the police station where he said he knew why he was being questioned but did not want to talk to police without a lawyer.

He was booked into jail on a complaint of lewd proposal/acts to a minor after a felony conviction. He is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond. King is in the Tulsa County Jail for child endangerment with a bond set at $25,000.

The Department of Human Services took the girl and an older sibling into protective custody, the report states.
