A former Western Heights coach accused of raping a 16-year-old considered offering a plea deal to the state.

A former Western Heights coach accused of raping a 16-year-old considered offering a plea deal to the state.

Trial was delayed more than an hour Wednesday morning while the defendant, Tyrone Nash, consider entering a plea. After an hour of consideration, Nash decided to move forward with the trial.

Testimony resumed at 10:30 a.m. with the state calling an administrator at Western Heights High School, who was an administrator during the time the allegations were made.

The alleged victim testified against Nash on Tuesday, and said she had a relationship with Nash from 2010 to 2011. Prosecutors also called a second witness, the doctor who performed an examination of Nash's genitals, as well as a friend of the alleged victim.
