OKC Police Search For Man Who Assaulted Officer

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Police are on the lookout for a man who assaulted an officer after a traffic stop in northwest Oklahoma City, Sunday night.

Oklahoma City Police tell News 9 an officer was attempting to pull over the suspect, near NW 30th St. and Portland Ave., when the man assaulted the officer and ran off.

No suspect information has been released at this time and authorities have not said for what reason the initial traffic stop was made. A perimeter has been set up in the area while police search for the suspect. K9 units have also been called in to assist with the search.

No other information has been released at this time.
