Families, Rescue Workers Gather For 19th Annual Remembrance Ceremony

People will gather for the 19th Annual Remembrance Ceremony Saturday morning at the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum, 620 N. Harvey Ave.

The ceremony will begin shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday. As in the past, 168 seconds of silence will be observed at 9:02 a.m., reflecting the moment that changed so many lives 19 years ago.

Family members of the victims, as well as rescue workers, will be a part of this year's ceremony. Governor Mary Fallin will also be in attendance. The ceremony will then conclude with the reading of the 168 names of those who were killed.

Once again this year, Cox Communications will sponsor free admission at the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"Cox is proud to continue this annual tradition," said Percy Kirk, vice president and general manager of Cox Communications in Oklahoma. "We believe it is important on this special day of remembrance that all visitors to the Memorial be able to tour the Museum at no cost."

On Friday, the National Archives released previously restricted documents from former President Bill Clinton's administration. Included within the document were about 30 pages regarding the Oklahoma City bombing. The full document is now available in Clinton's Library.

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, "Run To Remember", will be held April 27. The race will start at 6:30 a.m. in downtown Oklahoma City at the Memorial. The funds raised by the race help support the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum.

The children's programming that regularly airs from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., which includes Recipe Rehab and Jamie Oliver's 15 Minute Meals, will air today from 11 a.m. to noon due to News 9's coverage of the 19th Annual Remembrance Ceremony.
