The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said a deputy chased an SUV for several miles before arresting the driver early Friday.

TCSO Captain John Bryant said the chase began after the deputy noticed the SUV stopped on the side of the road in the 5600 block of East 53rd Street North at about 2 a.m.

As the deputy pulled up behind the SUV, the driver took off at a high rate of speed.

TCSO says the chase ended when the SUV pulled onto a dead end road at 76th Street North and 31st East Avenue, crashing through a fence and hitting a tree.

Deputies arrested the driver, Billy Henderson, 23, of Tulsa a short distance away.

TCSO said the SUV was reported stolen out of Tulsa.

Deputies booked Henderson into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of eluding, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, speeding, larceny and not having a driver's license.
