Oklahoma City added two runs in the third inning. George Springer drew a walk to load the bases with none out for Singleton, who singled and Austin Wates and Petit scored on the play for a 3-0 lead. Santana drew a walk later in the inning to load the bases again for Oklahoma City with one out, but Carlos Perez struck out and Meyer flied out to end the inning.

Wates doubled to deep center field to score Ronny Torreyes from first base for a 4-0 lead in the fourth inning. A sacrifice fly by Petit brought home Wates for a 5-0 edge.

New Orleans' lone run came in the sixth inning when Justin Bour singled to score Matt Angle as the Zephyrs fell to 2-8.

The RedHawks then broke out for seven more runs in the eighth inning on seven hits.
