OKLAHOMA CITY -

The Oklahoma City SkyDance Bridge will receive an upgrade to its electronic system.

According to city officials, the 380-foot-long pedestrian bridge and 197- foot-tall landmark sculpture, which spans Interstate 40 near Robinson Avenue, will receive a new controller.

Currently, officials say city staff must visit the site to make changes to the LED light programming. The new controller will enable staff to remotely program the LED lights that welcome visitors to downtown.

While work on the lighting controller is underway, the nightly illuminations will be temporarily suspended.
