Oklahoma's Department of Environmental Quality is weighing in on the well water situation at a Shawnee mobile home park.

The DEQ says Meadow Ridge Mobile Home Park's well water system has had elevated uranium levels since 2007. They say however, you would have to drink two liters of that water every day for 70 years, before it could cause kidney problems.

Meadow Ridge tenants were notified earlier this week they have until June 10 to move out. Residents like Tiffany Bierd are furious because they own their mobile homes, and they say two months is not enough time.

They say they should have been given much longer notice. She says they also should have been told earlier of the elevated uranium levels.

"Obviously it is not safe," she said. "Therefore we would not be leaving."
