OKLAHOMA CITY -

Oklahoma City police arrested a man who is accused of raping a woman at her apartment Tuesday night.

According to police, officers responded to the incident just after 10 p.m. in the 1000 block of S.W. 38th Street. The victim told police that her neighbor, 67-year-old Allan Joseph Cruz, opened her door and walked into her apartment uninvited.

The victim said Cruz asked to see her new bed. When they walked into the bedroom, Cruz reportedly threatened her with a butcher knife, saying, "If you scream, I'll kill you."

Cruz, police said, then put a strip of duct tape over the victim's mouth and raped her.

Officers arrested Cruz a short time later. He has been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of rape and first-degree burglary.

Police said Cruz had a felony warrant out of Oklahoma County for false impersonation.
