Task Force Arrests Man Wanted For Maiming Tulsa Woman's Eye

An Okmulgee man accused of beating a woman until her eyeball exploded is in custody in Norman.

U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force from Oklahoma City has captured one of Tulsa's Most Wanted. Tulsa Police say Robert Fulton was taken into custody in Norman.

Fulton, 24, faces two charges of maiming and domestic violence in the presence of a minor from an incident on March 1, 2014.

Court records show Fulton is accused of beating a woman who was trying to break up with him, destroying her left eyeball. His alleged victim said in a protective order that she "told him we didn't need to see each other any more, and he beat me unconscious."

Fulton reportedly beat the woman in the head and face exploding the globe of her left eyeball.

Fulton, who was wanted on a $50,000 bond, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by the Task Force and Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.
