YUKON, Oklahoma -

The westbound lanes of Interstate 40 between Yukon and El Reno in Canadian County are back open, after crews cleared the scene of an accident Monday morning.

Troopers say the closure is due to an accident and heavy fog in the area of I-40 near Highway 81. According to the OHP, two people were injured in a three-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck, a car, and a pickup truck.

Traffic was being routed off the interstate and through Yukon as crews worked to clear the scene of the crash.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
