A 19-year-old Marble City man was arrested for murder and first-degree arson in Sequoyah County. Arty Allen Farris was arrested after a body was found inside a burned home Saturday morning.

Investigators say a fire started at 6 a.m. at a home off Main Street. Evidence collected at the scene led authorities to suspect foul play, according to KSFM.

Farris also faces a complaint of arson that causes injury and endangerment of emergency personnel.

The victim's remains have been sent to the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine cause of death and to make a positive identification.
