Highland East Junior High School in Moore, Oklahoma, was placed under a lockdown Thursday morning.
According to Moore police, a homeowner claimed that he shot a man who had jumped over the fence. The homeowner told police the suspect had a gun.
The school, located at 1200 S.E. 4th St. in Moore, was placed under a lockdown as a precaution just after 9:30 a.m., as officers searched for the alleged suspect in the area.
Authorities lifted the lockdown at about 10 a.m. Police called off the search after they couldn't locate a suspect.
