Severe weather chances will be going up over the next few days across Oklahoma. Here's the latest on timing, location, and intensity. Stay tuned over the next few days, as additional data becomes available. In a setup like the one we are moving into, the daily severe threat will be impacted by the previous day's storms. So exact details will likely shift around some.

Tuesday: A warm front will lift to the north from Texas. This will ramp up temperatures and moisture across southern Oklahoma, and will set the stage for a few severe storms in the southwest. T-storms will be possible from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the yellow region and will be capable of tennis ball size hail, winds to 70 mph and isolated tornadoes. The threat for tornadoes is low but not zero.

Wednesday: The severe weather threat shifts north and east and will include all of the Oklahoma City metro. A dryline will move from the west to the east across the state. This, along with the powerful jet stream overhead, will increase the chances for supercells and severe storms. The threat on Wednesday with storms that do develop will be large hail up to the size of a baseball, winds to 70 mph and isolated tornadoes.

Thursday: The dryline shifts into eastern Oklahoma, and again there will be a threat of severe thunderstorms in the region shaded in yellow. All modes of severe weather will be possible.
