After a cool and wet Wednesday, we have warm and windy conditions in store for Thursday. Storms look likely in eastern Oklahoma by Thursday afternoon.

Highs will soar into the upper 70s and low 80s Thursday afternoon with strong southwest winds at 20 to 40 mph.

There will be typical spring-storm setup across Oklahoma with a dryline moving from west to east followed by a cold front late in the evening. This will likely spark up a few thunderstorms in eastern Oklahoma with a low risk for severe storms in the region shaded in yellow.

The threat with storms that do develop will be damaging wind gusts and large hail. The tornado threat will be low, but not zero.

Behind the dryline, the relative humidity will be 10% to 20%. This will dry out vegetation and will cause another extreme wildfire risk day. Behind the cold front, highs on Friday will be in the upper 50s.
