Fire Crews Respond To Hazmat Situation Near Downtown OKC

The Oklahoma City Fire Department worked a hazmat situation near the downtown area Tuesday afternoon.

Fire crews responded to a chemical accident at 701 W. Main St. near Classen and Sheridan.

Officials said two chemicals, one being Nitric Oxide, were accidentally mixed at the Oklahoma City Police Department property room. The building has been evacuated, and the situation has been contained.

One person was transported to a local hospital for observation.
