1 Man Injured, 1 Suspect Questioned In Lawton Shooting

One man is being treated for a gunshot wound, while another is in questioning with the Lawton Police Department after a shooting Friday afternoon.

One man is being treated for a gunshot wound, while another is in questioning with the Lawton Police Department after a shooting Friday afternoon. 

Lawton police responded to a shots fired call in the 100 block of N.W. 3rd St. and Bell Ave. around 12:20 p.m. On arrival, officers located a 26-year-old male that had been shot.

Russell Roundtree was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Police reported the bullet did not hit any major organs, and Roundtree's condition is non-life-threatening.

According to police, one suspect, a 31-year-old white male, was brought in for questioning. His name has not been released, as he has not been formally booked into jail yet.

Officials said there were numerous witnesses, and they are being questioned. One firearm was found at the scene, which appears to be the weapon used, but no official weapon information will be released until all interviews have concluded.
