Two suspects in stolen vehicles led Norman police officers on a high-speed pursuit early Tuesday morning. Police say they arrested one suspect and are looking for the other one.

At about 5:15 a.m., Norman police say they received a report that a black Chevrolet pickup had been stolen in the area of S.W. 19th and Santa Fe in Moore.

The pickup was seen going southbound on Santa Fe. It was followed closely by a dark-colored SUV driven by a second suspect, police said.

At 5:30 a.m., an officer spotted the two vehicles heading south on 48th Ave NW. Officers attempted to stop the vehicles in the area of Robinson Street and 48th Ave NW. However, the black pickup drove into a residential neighborhood in an attempt to elude officers.

According to police, the driver abandoned the pickup in the area of Davinbrook Drive and Pinon Court and fled on foot.

Norman officers continued to pursuit the dark-colored SUV, which was going north on 48th to Tecumseh Road, and east to I-35, and then south on I-35.

The SUV continued south, exiting I-35 at SH9 West in Newcastle. It then collided with another vehicle in the intersection of SH9 and continued south.

The SUV eventually came to a stop in a field east of Riverwind Casino. Officers were able to take the female driver into custody. Police determined that the SUV was also stolen out of Oklahoma City.

As of 8 a.m., police say they are still searching for the male suspect who was driving the pickup. Police have not released any suspect description.

No one was injured during the chase and the crash.
