NORMAN, Oklahoma -

A Norman museum is offering affordable, daily activities for families over spring break.

The Sam Noble Museum, located on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus at Timberdell Rd. and Chautauqua Ave., will host Spring Break Escape from March 17-21.

Spring Break Escape offers activities for ages 4 and up including face painting, crafts, bird shows and science experiments.

Monday

Learn about and touch specimens from the museum's collection, create bird feeders for your neighborhood flock and learn about birds in an interactive show presented by the Sutton Avian Research Center.

Tuesday

Dig into Oklahoma's history while exploring Paleontology! Paint your face like a dinosaur, design a handprint Stegosaurus puppet, chat with real scientists about the museum's dinosaur collection, then explore the museum's ancient plant fossils from the paleobotany and micropaleobotany collections.

Thursday

Take part in eye-popping, jaw-dropping science experiments with the Oklahoma Museum Network, then create your own magnifying glass, observe live, flesh-eating beetles and discover cool, creepy crawly creatures with the museum's invertebrate collection.

Friday

Create a Native American game to take home, pick up a few words in one of 72 Native languages, listen to traditional Native storyteller Kricket Rhoads-Connwerdy and watch the Oklahoma Fancy Dancers perform traditional American Indian tribal dances!
